All right welcome back episode 103 The Trilateral podcast. how's it going? brothers how's it going it's going all right not a whole lot in the sports world going on other than you know a little golf little little soccer tournament going on not a whole lot football but we do got also not a whole lot of racing you know no what's going on with that it's just like you know they just come and go as they want to race it seems like yeah there was there was some chit chat about possibly trying to add a race and they kind of kibosh that idea but we do have the Belgium Grand Prix at Spa this weekend Sunday 9am is the race time Sunday 9am we can be waking up drinking some Starbucks watching that so forward you know 9am I should probably be a fuckup all right some soccer updates I don't know where we were at last time we talked I think we were at the end of the round of 16 right and then we had like a quarter final start or something yeah I think there might have been one two left of the 16 I believe no I think we talked about that then we talked about the Columbia Swincer game oh did we yeah I guess so yeah we did as we were recording as you were recording I think it was France and Morocco a plan yeah that is correct so yeah France went on to win that game Spain beat Belgium hardbreaker England took care of Norway that was a tough one extra extra on I'm probably slaughtered in the name I think it's just extra quarters or something yeah yeah yeah and then I actually the next game did too Argentina Swarthsland did yeah yeah actually time Argentina like the Davis and this will be the same result as when we talked about what happened in the semi-finals is they just score goals late like they were they just wait they were in the same roof they wait and I think they're just like it's like they're playing with their food and then they're just like time to put it away so you I would have had all of my final four right if Norway would have won pretty good for someone that doesn't watch soccer but I know a little bit of them now moving out of the semi finals both semi finals games happened this week upset of the fucking whole people who have cut 2026 Spain beaten France yeah I think France from the very beginning was the favorite to win the whole thing and they were the flyer to wire up until that point favorite to win the whole thing so yeah they were definitely top that's pretty wild mum and then also to know keep them by based scoreless in a soccer game what so pretty impressive by Spain it was also like it was a pretty good game by them so I'm a little worried for the opponent which was yesterday's game England lost to Argentina like we said Argentina tied it up with like literally 90 minutes in the game it was like right at the extra time insane so yeah that was this I was opening up it pull it out but like you said it's like Argentina that's just kind of circling the boat and then I strike I will honestly I didn't expect Spain to be there no but Argentina was my pick from the very beginning for them to go back to back and be back to back champs I think that they against Spain I mean who knows we all thought France was gonna kill Spain but yeah maybe they'll show up we'll see but I think Argentina's got a real good shot to go back to back I think they actually underdogs right now which to me is it's not by a lot either I don't think but to me is pretty wild but Spain did beat the best team in the turbo you could say so Spain had a good run to take care of Belgium had to be Portugal so that's true yeah they did have Portugal handle yeah they went Austria Portugal Belgium so like it wasn't an easy route not as easy as I think Argentina's route was so but Argentina look hard and they they made it look incredibly hard so yeah you're not right and like I thought there their route was like oh shit Cape Verde Egypt what they know no disrespect to those countries but like that's a cakewalk for the defending champs I feel like come in there and then yeah like you said they made it look very difficult so yeah see I'm willing to put money that they do the same thing in the championship they made it very difficult I think I think Argentina will win I think it'll come down though I have to be a low scoring two to one game or some shit comes to it shoot out nice he scores his last goal to go in boot yeah and Maro we have the third place game France and England and then Sunday 3 p.m. Spain, Argentina and third place game tough tough they make you play a third place game to start with people doing dirty things I guess that's it sucks you think do you think most players like most starters played at their plays game or no oh yeah they'll stop playing boom we'll see all right go Argentina other than that news in sports I would say it's been pretty interesting to see what's going on with the brun don't necessarily know what's gonna happen with him but I think I think he's going to Cleveland I could see that he started in Cleveland why not finish it up in Cleveland you know he's probably only got another year left so maybe a little more maybe I'd be a little all or no yeah not being our see what ends up happening there I mean with the brun don't get wrong I think it'd be a pretty decent team but is he how many games is gonna like play you know I mean five the late past couple of years that's like yearly set every set out a lot of them I don't know I don't know what was going on but get into them other sports news I don't know if you guys saw Steve Yarsman not the GM anymore the red wings really now step down it sounds like he's still going to be in some sort of advisor role to the CEO but yeah he's he's step down they don't really go into at least the details haven't been put out there just you know that's interesting you know what's the space is sticking around you at least haven't seen anything with them going but well well Larkin right yeah Larkin he's pretty sure I thought he was talked about him leaving but good I'll be on the rest of this all goes out it's kind of like this week I don't want to see yeah a whole lot going on well we'll be back to recap those games that
