All right welcome back to The Trilateral podcast episode 93. How's it going guys? Well, how's it going? How's it going? All right, we're getting up there almost to 100 Yes We got a couple things to talk about F1. We do got a little bit of news Chris You said we had some changes to the race in Miami important race Yeah We got So race format Since Miami will be our first race back It's also a sprint weekend They have proposed and wanted ahead to make the change since it's a solo practice doing a sprint weekend They are adding an additional 30 minutes to that practice session and They're shifting the starting time So it'll start at local Eastern standard time at noon that Friday Gotcha, that's all that's been announced as far as race format FIA team principles and other Powers that be met to review the regulation changes And all these will affect from the Miami race on Obviously if they need to make other changes, they'll discuss that but these are what has been said moving forward Starting with reduced qualifying energy harvesting What that'll be adjusted from eight mega jewels to seven mega jewels They're adjusting a higher superclip higher superclip power 350 kilowatt Already talked about the session turning most of these are set around more of a flat out driving It's supposed to take off managing on the driver side Making that easier not so much fiddling So on and so forth and obviously the most important just improves safety They've even went to Changing how the the lights in the back The upright ones on the wing and then the center one how they flash if there are problems or if The cars experiencing issues it should be more Problem and notifying to any drivers behind that particular vehicle Wow But that first one the eight to seven mega jewels is to minimize that lifting coast behavior Especially in some of the corners where they break a little more purposefully Or rev a little higher to maximize their harvesting The superclip power Mylon full throttle Increases from the 250 to 350 kilowatt Aiming to keep that super clipping in a two to four step window per lap The race safety system that low power start detection assistant that will trigger The rear lateral lights and the cars with slow acceleration reducing The risk of rear inclusions this one particularly I think came from all these crash we saw in the last race where a car was In that low power harvesting scenario in a fast section of the track and you had to Make a base of maneuvers to get past him which resulted in that 50 50 plus G collision um energy and engine usage Maximum ERS which is energy recovery system deployment is reduced while max boost is capped at it 150 kilowatt plus Along for more consistent performance We'll still have the ability to overtake and such but This is the one where it's it's gonna be less management and these like I think it'll just be a little more even keel um So we probably will see a slightly different race uh good bad from our spectating purpose watching from home um TBD I guess we'll see um and then they've also uh for wet weather settings they Have allowed the tire blanket temperatures for the intermediates um to be increased to improve initial grip a lot of changes like that Yeah, there it's it seems like maybe a little but maybe a lot but I think probably the most noticeable that we'll kind of see is just how the kind of these back and forth um It'll probably be I want to say it's gonna be completely minimized but it's probably gonna be maybe a little less um There was one other uh, yeah, there was some Yeah, that low power start detection Um, which is to do with low acceleration shortly after the clutch release that's predominantly around some of these odds starts that we've been seeing um And then there's also a reset of the energy counter at the start of the formation lab Which was implemented to correct um The system and consisted to so they've been seeing where some teams just have no battery to At the start of the race So we might Not see those sluggish starts from some teams So maybe that advantage has been I know for our he seemed like they had it figured out but We'll see how much that fixes That will probably be in the that one. I'm probably the most interested about So But yes, uh, that covers F1 this week um We got that race at the beginning of May so um We shall see how it goes with these new changes All right, so we yeah, we'll be looking out for that um then all those changes to see how they affect This Not coming race week and um All right um NFL draft is going on at the moment Actually, yes, it is You which they broke the record by a what was the quite a bit from last year's and Detroit for most attendance No, okay, well look some of the pictures I saw in some of the video it You looked uh pretty packed there. Oh, yeah, it was very very packed. Yeah, I was surprised how much they beat the record by it was But quite a bit so good weather for it too. Look like oh, yeah So We have the currently's third round right now um, they're currently drafting um But first round was Obviously Mendoza going first overall was pretty much the obvious but after that it was kind of I don't know unpredictable so Um, any surprises to enough for you guys for the first round For the first round Yeah, my team trading all their shit away I don't even know what they did dad just told me that they traded like every pick away and like they weren't they kept like falling back falling back falling back And then they fell out of the first round like what yeah, they did have having a first round overall pick Yeah I don't seem casually, but you know, we made our first pick Um in the second round with the like I figured defensive edge Yes TJ Parker from Clemson Yeah, well um I'm scared by the lot I don't During my love going Notre Dame and then uh art from the Going to Arizona and then um here in third round right or in the second round They just had Carson back Yeah, well did you also see in the first round though not only gire mile love but jardarian prince the other running back Another day and got picked so two of our name running backs got picked in the first round Gardeurians prince got picked as well in the last pick first in the last pick by the sea hawk seal well That's insane I don't know last time that's happened where two running backs from the same college team got picked in the first round I think that was I thought I heard some chatter. I mean they say in position ranked man He was the second best running back in the fucking drive So yeah, I mean they were the top two running backs from the same two teams same team That's insane. That's how great our running the running team just was for them. So Um, but you know Ohio State had four guys going the top 11 picks Caleb Downs going to the cowboys man that's great. Well dude he fell out he was supposed to be at least a top five pick I thought still though I was really surprised to take went to the Titans. I was really surprised the Titans did that for the fourth overall pick Mm-hmm And then the biggest surprise to me those ties Simpson going to the ramps I don't know what the hell the ramps are thinking. Yeah that one That I would agree that was probably the most surprising. I'd wait could have traded back for them. Yeah, I don't really back to why I Not quite sure their thinking there. Well Sean McFaid didn't even see it coming either if you look at his mouth interview he did not seem too happy But stupid they got Stenson Bennett already is a back up and he's what 26 years old, but I don't know Yeah Yeah, guys, I'm got a chance and they're out here dressed and Tyson said no, I don't know That was a really waste of a top 13 pick So if they could have got more offense alignment they could have got that tight end from Oregon I don't know he's you think it would be any Obviously there was some lack of communication across organization, but You think it was a pick of I'd rather see this person with us than someone else No, yeah, I don't think so. I don't think Tyson's is really a threat either I don't think he's that great a quarterback person. So There was a very very weak QB class besides Fernando Mendoza other than that it was a very probably the weakest QB class we've seen in a long time So Um, but yeah, pretty much in the first round a lot of big guys offense tackles defense tackles So A lot of the big guys can take it in the first round. Um, look at the second round. Um, only thing that really stuck out to me I mean nothing too crazy Like and just a lot of Yeah, just a lot of not not big name. I guess I that feel like this is a very weak class. Maybe I just didn't know the class that well, but A lot of defense in the city. Yeah, yeah, a lot of defense. So But then yeah, obviously third round with Carson Beck and taking that's pretty good. Oh, and then Malachi fields just got taken from their name to Giants awesome so Yeah, so I don't really watch since pray it's like out of the past few years. This is probably the least I've watched the NFL drafts Just because I've I'm not excited for this draft class so Yeah, other than few I I would have to agree I wasn't very familiar with this this class at all and Yeah, I'm happy for the Notre Dame running backs. I'm happy, you know, see Mendoza Do his thing I kept up with the tight end from Oregon Cd. He was a beast Other than that. Not many other big names that I've been watching How many rounds get a Televised tonight is the fourth round you tell by us tonight? I Thought it was just the second and third round tonight Mm-hmm, and then it's the fourth and fifth and then six and seventh Got you because the fucking bills have three picks in the fourth round You guys have the first pick in the fourth round Then you head back to back you have a 25th and 26th picked in the fourth round Yeah, I know we traded it, but it sounded like we got more but I don't know You know, I think I'm just ready for the draft to go over with them and free agency get back to it so I know there's still some big trades that could be talking to could have The philly one Yeah, I saw the one the great greener driver's name is the defensive guy went from Minnesota to Philly Wasn't it like is it 40? 50 million guaranteed Wasn't that Yeah, it was like a hundred million dollar extension or something After he went to Philly Philly, given that that's what I could have saw Yeah, and all the and all they got form was a third round pick. That's probably why they didn't want to pay them so They figured they'll take the third round pick for it so Minnesota's got three picks in the third round now so Yeah, um So they sent third round draft picks One for this year one for next year to the Vikings Okay, then they gave them the extension For green in our who then agreed to a four year hundred million extension with Philly Yeah, this is 50 50 million guaranteed money according to his agent Yeah Interesting According to them that was a position they wanted to solidify so he was a linebacker Uh Our edge yeah, I'm back in Interesting. It's not there. He had a pretty good lineback and crew, but I guess not Um, do you guys have anything else to touch on for the NFL draft? Nah, we'll just go unfold the guess And see what craziness happens um I did uh, I don't know if you guys saw it but uh Uh Dallas White receiver uh, they switched his tag to Franchise tag George Pickens yep Dude can't catch a break these little see still getting to pay the max for the one year, but he's never gonna get a Yeah extension So Outside of that that's all I got on enough over right now Hmm Yeah, sounds good sounds good. All right moving into NHL playoffs Yeah What you said mostly game two from most series right Yeah game three's have been finished starting to finish up too Yeah, so freaking Pittsburgh me. I don't know what the hell is going on real down. So they're pretty much done. So Yeah, they're fillies leading that three oh Colorado's up three oh against the Kings um Caroline is up three oh against senators Buffalo last night they they went up on the Bruins so they're two one right now That's awesome Dallas is up on the wild two one Fillies are not fillies Canadians enlightening are tied one one and then Anhyman oil is your tied one one Yeah, golden nights and Utah's tied one one as well So They some close ones Is that game over I know those games are playing right now Yeah, looks like lightning Canadians are going is it going into over time? Yeah looks like they're going over time right now two two two two The mammoth and knights are playing 00 right now. Yeah, they're still in the first period I've been to them put their anhyen played at 10. Yeah, starting up During an ahym I'm most state of watch the other one was a night before but It started pretty late again and I think yeah But I'll probably turn some of these on night How's watch yeah, I'm not happy right? Yeah, I don't know what's been going on. What was up? They suck Hmm tough games Yeah, some of these could stretch out for sure But heck we got two that could be wrapped up tomorrow Really wild Yeah, this best out of so yeah best out of seven yeah So hurricanes and the flyers could wrap their theories up as they win Yeah, it's first is going to one slosh straight. It's all new Just gonna take it from here on out Ah, yeah, it's pretty much done so Hopefully I don't get swept and win at least one or two games maybe that is but I'll see them win the series so Yeah, I don't think nothing's like score wise. I don't think anything's been like crazy What I've seen so does far but Yeah, yeah, Minnesota I Game of the little harsh six-one Rest have been within one or two Well, heat up as it goes. I'm sure but Yeah, kind of updates us on hockey for the moment. Yep. That'll be interesting of those games and We'll see Those series ends Yeah, cuz it's I'd have to see who place who that next but the few of those it's gonna definitely give some rest to some teams potentially Hey, I'll see you All right, anything else touch on boys? Hmm No, you guys you guys been watching anything like show wise or movie wise Shit, man, I'm watching the survivor, bro Hmm, I need to get caught up. I need to get caught up though in the mall series. I have not watched the last It's good so Yes, you do it's Um, no spoilers for sure, but it's like the vibe I get from the show Um, I know this is Lonely favore, you know how they film set up things it's it gives me like a kind of a Cop show vibe a Little bit You know the characters that they're following and stuff often It's good. It's the highest highest rated Star Wars show at this point really 100% rot in tomatoes. Oh, I think how do you tell me that in you? Yeah Yeah, I know it's Dungry and I think every episode has been pretty pretty good. There's been maybe one slow episode But all the rest have been really really good. Yeah Yeah, they've been I'd say they're good. I'd still argue on the side. I wish they were a little bit longer But oh yeah, I wish they were at least 45 minutes, but I did I get it too so Like a lot of work goes into those and so Now it's been good um You guys see the super troopers three trailer? Well, I didn't know that at least you know, that's that's funny. It looks fucking hilarious One of that I think it's really said it's super troopers three Yeah, absolutely initial one come out like what you're 2001 wasn't it? I believe so really One was a second one 2000 like I tried to like tazin like 11. I guess that was probably 10 years after Really splintered up huh? So I don't know if it's second one, but I know that the first one came out. Yeah, like early early 2000s Wow, the first one I remember very thoroughly Wow really? What? Second one came out 2018 what? No way Yeah That one I don't really recall very much Why? I just don't really recall that one much I know I watched it, but Definitely didn't watch as much as the first one Got you. Yeah, third one looks Very very good Probably one I go see just for the whole that I haven't seen a good funny movie like that in a while I'll be honest with you guys. I don't think I ever even really watched the other ones so Yeah, they've seen the second one you once but the first ones are classic I've seen that a bunch of times Mm-hmm That is hilarious and I know it's not been really talked about much and only the advertising has been good by my mortal combat to come out pretty sure next week Yeah, I was that one already coming out next week. Okay. Yeah, it may this they think it is or may may first week of May so Another trailer that was just dropped last week was the street fighter Pretty flier kind of Yeah, that kind of rebooting Looks good. It's got a interesting cast Yeah, really good cast so I think they nailed some of the parts some of the characters for sure casting lies So definitely trying to I think stick true to the game the original like Sega Genesis game from the 90s Um, yeah, because momoa is playing what's that the green guys name? Yeah, but momoa is playing him and they showed just a small clip of him and that was Mm-hmm looks like majority of the fan favorites are on there though I'm hoping it wasn't a trailer where we saw most of the good stuff and it's so so hopefully it Um as well in general overall but Yeah, a couple good movies definitely on the radar don't look forward to For sure All right, I think I'm good.
