All right, welcome back guys to The Trilateral Podcast episode 65. Um, how are we doing guys? How's it going? How's it going? Um, moving on into we got college football and NFL to talk about today, talk about our records, talk about everything that went on last week in football. Um, starting with college football. Um, first game we had was pretty big upset. It was Florida State against Virginia. Number eight, Georgia State was the first game in the week. Yeah, that was a big big game. Yeah. Number eight, Florida State losing to unranked Florida State, or Virginia. Florida State, yeah, it wasn't. Florida State, man, they just, they're not very convincing ever having been convincing ever since their, well, was it? Was that last year when they started like, oh, in three or was that two years ago? Last year, I thought when they were like supposed to be like, they were like supposed to be super fucking. Yeah, they should know that sure they started out with the bang. I mean, they were never rating it. They, they freaking beat Clemson start the Clemson was the top four top five team. They beat them week one. That's right. So they looked good. And then yeah, I was nowhere for Virginia to beat them. It was a good game went to overtime, but a lot of overtime games this caught in college football this week. So a lot of it's a trim. So next big game, we had USC in Illinois. That was down to the wire. Yeah. Illinois pulled that off. That was a good game. Good game. Two point game. Yeah. Really good game. LSU and Ole Miss. Yeah. That was kind of a big upset. That was a pretty, oh, no, the upset Ole Miss was favored when that game, even though they were underdog because it was a 12, 12 first four. They switched. So Ole Miss was number 12. They're number four now. They jumped that high. Really? And number four now. And then Ole LSU dropped from number four, number 13. So they literally swapped? They pretty much swapped. Yeah. There was a lot upset. There was a lot of losses in the top 10 this week. So another big one. I mean, not really big one, but Notre Dame put some fucking belt to ass against Arkansas. I want to say that, that big one. I was going to say it. Alabama and Georgia is bigger than that. And then Oregon and Penn State. Oregon and Penn State. Yeah. Exactly. Whatever that backhand they had the Penn State coach. Yeah. He just can't win in the big games. If you look at their next three games too, he might be in trouble because they have some three tough games coming up. We are. I just think they just can't finish. 100 literally with two overtime. It's just that it was just can't finish though. Look at his record. He's lost to like top against top 10 teams. He's lost. They came back. They came back. They were shit. They came back. So record says it. Like against top 10 teams. He's only like one in 12th. He's terrible against top 10 teams. So like I can't just be a trend. Like it's like he has Ohio State coming up. See how he doesn't get to do that. He's beat by Ohio State. So he's got the other big time teams coming up. So we'll see how he recovered. Ohio State looked very good. That Georgia Tech and Wake Forest game. That was Wake Forest had that game pretty much wrapped up and Georgia Tech still came back. One point game went to overtime. So Georgia Tech got them dogs and they came back from that. Auburn and Texas San them was a good game. Lo scoring. How did they have a Georgia? Yeah. Famine Georgia. Classic matchup. Can't believe it. Kirby couldn't get it done. Snapped his 18 game winning streak at home. Close 15. I think I looked at it again. I thought it was 18. But still crazy amount. I haven't lost at home and forever. So then what was another one? Oh, Indiana and Iowa was a good game. Five point game only that coach from Indiana is just insane, dude. He just I do like him. Just yelling at his people. They were literally gonna steal the game and he's still going crazy on the sidelines. So I mean looking at the other games. Kind of seeing Mississippi State was a good one back and forth game another overtime game. Ohio State and Washington was kind of close game until the end, but pretty sure what was it half time? Half time was a four point game. So Ohio State looked a little rough. I mean Washington looked pretty good too. So. Ohio State was not gonna get beaten. Not only gonna get beaten by Michigan. You know, see, but other than that, I don't really see, I mean, still a good week of football though. But this week coming up, we have some pretty good games. Nothing too crazy. We got my IME against Florida State. That'll be a good one. Vanderbilt and Bama and both ranked teams, I guess. Bama should destroy them. I feel like we'll see Texas and Florida. I can see maybe an upset there. See how arch does end in Gainesville. It's in Florida. So that could really hurt that. That would definitely take Texas out of the playoffs if they lose to Florida. So do their second loss. Miami for the state. Miami for the state. That's how they said that. I was a big one. But that's the end of the week. Yeah, but they're not going there. Well, the fuck they got was game days not going there. They already said they're going to where did they say they're going to Vanderbilt and Bama. They're going to that would be more game of the week actually. I think yeah. Vanderbilt's undefeated. Going into Bama. Bama better watch out, dude. For a pissed off that it wasn't the Miami in Florida state. But if Florida state would have won last week and kept the top 10 team, they would be in Florida state. But since Florida state lost. They'd watch out, dude. Fucking Vanderbilt might come in and get them. West constant Michigan should be a good game too this week. So it's in Michigan, but that should be a pretty good game still. But nothing too crazy for this week, especially with the following week will be a lot better, but we'll get there. I think that pretty much wraps up college football. If you guys did anything else to add? No, I'm moving to football. I'm moving to NFL. So, nice. And I fell from last week. Another bit show of a week kind of. I think it was a great week. It was a good week. I mean, just a lot of injuries though. Just injuries. Yeah. I can tie a lot. Fucking leg wrapped up. I'm tired of you. I'm tired of you. Coat need gone. That was gross. Yeah, that was gnarly. Like they did not realize it for moments. I was sitting here. I was like, what the fuck? Leg is completely turned in as freaking knee is an opposite way. Yeah. He obviously is out for the season. So yeah. Steelers game was cool in Ireland, fun game to watch. We were doing really good. We almost blew it. It was really there. It was really there. It was pretty good. It was pretty good. Almost blew it. I thought there for a second. Love and come back from so much, but that was a little stressful to watch at the end, but got through it, thankfully. Yeah. Hang out three and one for Pittsburgh. That's a good start for Mr. Oldman Rogers. So we shouldn't need the rest of that goes. Got to see Giants get their first wins. The chargers. That was wicked to watch. So kind of crazy that I can't believe Justin Herbert played so bad. That whole team just played bad. They made the Giants like an actual team. So yeah, that was pretty interesting game. Tolkien's a commander. It was a good game. Jayden didn't play right. That was Mario de again, wasn't it? Yeah. That was Mario de Mario de. You looked good. I mean, I'm sure Jayden was playing there with one, but is he coming back next week? This week, I think Jayden, he should be back this week. I feel like he should be back this week. Taxis and Titans game was shit. I can't believe Texans just shut them out like that. Titans, they look rough. Like he's literally cam wore at the end of the game said we'd keep it 100. We're ass. He literally said we're ass in the freaking interview. So people will wonder what ass? Now bills in the Saints game a little back and forth there for a minute. So maybe bills are just trying to keep a little in our head. And then you know, shutting them out there for the end of the bill just like wanted to like give them a little bit. Yeah, we got a few people out though too. Yeah. Hey, what though? That defense align here guys looks good. So we're only going to be bolstered. So we're going to be bolstered in another week. What did you say? We're going to be bolstered here in another week because we got the two coming off of suspension. Yeah, true. So Lions look pretty dominant against the Browns. So speaking of the Browns 2, Joe Flacco will be sitting on the bench this weekend. Really, Dylan Gabriel is getting the start. Shadero is still remaining third string. It's going to be Dylan Gabriel. Joe Flacco should here. So it should be see how Gabriel does this week. Jags beating the 49ers. That was yeah, I was kind of surprised there. I didn't really watch that game that kind of wasn't on my radar. Wasn't that great. I wasn't really excited for. I was just surprised to see the Jags one. Bears and Raiders was a good game. One point game. So grams and Colts good game. Touchdown. Surprised the Chiefs freaking beat up the Ravens though. That was probably one of the shockers of the week. Yeah, that was really shit show of the game. The Ravens just look, they just look exhausted out there. It's dropping like flies injuries and they're just yeah, that team kind of worries me. That team, I don't know what's going on over there. And then moving in the Sunday night, I was almost just like Dan, we just watched four hours of football just to watch a fucking tie. Yeah, I'm glad I stopped watching that because I woke up and saw them like, you shit at me. I have a background beat them pretty good, but I mean, Pickens had what three touchdowns, three receiving touchdowns, two receiving touchdowns and like that. At least that two, I'm sure you had more of those. Mine I had three. So I only went off this week in DAC. I obviously looked good. So that Packers defense secondary, at least not that great. Dawkins and Jets game was the alley. We said was good. Just sucks for the Dawkins. This injury was losing tie wreak for the whole season. And probably maybe his last year as a Dawkins. So maybe his last year in the NFL. Never know. Let's see about that. He's just getting up there. The rough injury to come back on from his age because he's what, 33, 32 years old. So he looked like he was having a good time. I would be too if I'm making hundreds of millions of dollars sitting on the bench now for the rest of the year. Yeah, his is not all guaranteed though. He'll still get a lot of his performance. So let's see. Then that bangles and Broncos game was another snooze fest. Sam, bangles scored the first three points and then didn't score anymore. Bangles scare me, dude. Yeah. Burrow, Matt, Sucks. We still got what? 10 more weeks without Burrow. So they're going to be struggling. They're going to think about it. They lose like freaking 10 straight. They're just not going to bring them back. What's the point of bringing them back if they get eliminated already? Just rest them. I'm switching my pick then. I'll surprise you, took them in the first place. I'm taking the Rams, no matter what. So I think the Rams look good, and I think even with pretty playing, I want to take the Rams. So 49ers looked rough. So, Yeah, but I still like their defense. They still be on with injuries too. So, but I'm going to take the Rams Thursday night. Yeah, same here, Rams. Rids. I'm sweet. Moving into Sunday, we got another game over there and I think it's in London this week. You got Minnesota playing Cleveland, Dylan Gabriel, Dining is a rookie start in a different country. Give me Minnesota. Minnesota. They've been over there for next year. Give me Minnesota. Sweet. All right. We got Houston traveling to Baltimore. Well, Marjaxon's looking doubtful. They're saying more unlikely he probably won't play, but the probably a game time decision. No, no matter. I'm thinking he's still going to run over, fucking 200 yards. He's not going to fumble the football this week. Fingers crossed. Give me the Ravens. I'm going to take the Ravens. Cooper rushes the backup. I think he'll do fine. I think the Ravens, it's a must-win game this week. I know it's early on, but they don't want to start what one and four. They don't want to actively catch up that fast. So I'm going to take the Ravens as well. Yeah, Ravens. Sweet. Next we got Miami traveling to Carolina. Even without Tyree, come take in Miami. I think they prove they can still play ball. Carolina kind of looks rough still. So I'll take Miami. They will take Miami in the whole district. Yeah, so I'm going to take Miami. Sweet. Yeah, so far we're all sweet. Same teams. Next, we got Vegas traveling to Indy. I think this could be a good game. Any both teams that I'm playing pretty good. I'm going to take Vegas in this one. So not me. Indy all the way. No, I'm going to take Colts. Next, we got the Giants traveling to New Orleans. Both teams kind of and Giants did get their first win. I'm going to take the cards. I don't know, man. They look good against the bills. Maybe we just struck. I don't know, but I think that is, you know, some, some teams have it, but we'll see. Bye-bye. So sweep there. I'll take the Giants. Next theme, we got Dallas traveling to the Jets. I'm actually going to take the Jets in this one. I think the Jets get their first win at home. What was so? I do not. I was pondering that, but I'm going Cowboys in this one. Cowboys? Next, we got Denver traveling to Philly, which I think this could easily be probably game of the week. This could be a good game. Both teams have been playing great. I'm going to take Philly, though. Philly did look a little, last week, but I mean, still Philly, and they're at home. So he's there in the style of all of this, so maybe the Eagles. Take the brunt. I'll go on this one. Split? Split? Next, we got Tennessee traveling to Arizona. And what kind of see you get to win this year? No. I'm going to take Tennessee. And this will be my last week. I mean, I haven't taken them all year. I don't think, but I think this could be one of those games where Arizona does like the choke and they usually do it at home. So I'm going to take Tennessee this week. Give me Arizona. Give me Arizona. Split there. Next, we got Tampa traveling Seattle. I'm taking Baker all day. I think they should take care of this. And even if it's at Seattle, I'm going to take them. So yeah. Tampa. Tampa. Yeah, give me Tampa. That was there you go. There's sweep there. Next, we got Detroit going to Sinci. Give me Detroit. Sinci doesn't stand a chance even if it's. Oh, that's sensible. That's a lot of fun. We're giving it to score three touchdowns. Yeah, they might just put 60 points up on them at at the bandals. Honestly, the only thing that could stop the fucking lions from scoring 60 points is going to be if it's like, inclement weather. Or they just bench everyone after half a half time or up by 30 point of those old bench, nobody, throw it. You know what I'm saying? But I started benching people until the last three minutes. Sweet there. Next, we got the commanders at the chargers. Daniels should be back this week. I'm just going to take the balance back for the chargers. It's in LA. I'm going to take the chargers. This one will split it. I'm not too keen at this year. So I'm going to take the chargers as well. I'm not too keen. I don't know both of these teams played recently. So I'm going to say the chargers should bounce back. So I'm going to go chargers on this one. Next, we got Sunday night. We got New England traveling to get old Buffalo. Oh, give me the bills. Yeah. You get close to the post game. I know, but it's home for Buffalo. They shouldn't lose. Plus they're wearing their whiteouts for the first time. They had just in the end zone. I don't think they're going to lose. So I'll take Buffalo. Sunday night. Carrier underwood. Buffalo. Chris Collins. We're a C.O.K. I don't have to watch this fucking game on TV and listen to that guy. He's going to be the announcement with that game on the stadium. No, I will fucking lose. Then Monday night, speaking of Patrick Mahon's, we got Patrick Mahon's traveling to Jacksonville, Gimme Kansas City. Oh, yeah. I like Kansas City in this pic. I think Jacksonville got lucky. Yeah. I think Jacksonville is a, that was a kind of an end. I mean, Kansas City having Xavier worthy back that really helped some plus they got two more weeks before crashy rice is back. So yeah, I give him the cheese. Yeah, we'll take the cheese. That's another sweep there. So yeah, we had some differences. So I think you and Logan were a little more on par with each other, but shall see. Shall see. Hopefully it's none of them. And like I said, still not as bad as the previous week. That was more of a shit show, but last week was a little bit. Tad better. But I think that wraps up in a fell. The other news I have is Xavier and Howard did come out today and say he is retiring after nine seasons. So that was kind of big news for the, I think, you know, was he still on the dolphins and came in, I'm not even. He was a corner, though. And I think he was still on the dolphins. Maybe he got treated. I know he came on City Retired today. I have blue stone. So, um, big news that I really heard. And then Malik neighbors is out for the season with his ACL injury. Yeah, well, it sucks for the giants there, but I mean, it still looked good. That should be rough for the giants, though. That is their guy. And so we lost what two big receivers in one week right there with him, anti-req out. So that's crazy. Both knee injuries. Obviously one knee went the other way and one knee fucking snapped. So yeah, rough. I thought there was another, I mean, two, uh, almost got two, uh, in that game too. They got that one. Yeah, we got popped. Yeah. Yeah. You got, well, if you look at the replay, the guy really did and he got like, he barely handled the shoulder pad, but he was close to nailing him head to head. Yeah, but it's just got to understand. Yeah, that was that could have ended badly if he would have been a little bit lower if he would have lowered his head just to try to get more to what have been done. So like, even though announcers were like, oh, it got quiet because they thought that was, it wasn't a bad one. So, but you got to have better awareness. Yeah, that's just not the way to tackle.
